I was a Deputy Headteacher in two Buckinghamshire schools before taking up headship at a Church school in Hertfordshire for 13 years. I am a ‘people person’ and have extensive experience of working alongside a range of others, from students to fellow headteachers, parents, governors and LA advisers. I was a teacher at Elmtree for 8 years in the 90s and have many fond memories.
I have always enjoyed supporting not just individual pupils, but the wider family in order to maximise a child’s potential. I have a keen interest in RE and collective worship and have been a member of the Bucks RE Writing Panel for around 30 years.
I have a good sense of humour (essential!) and am a team player. The last 10 months have been such a demanding time for schools; there has never been such pressure, at almost every level. I would consider it a privilege to serve the local community by being a governor at Elmtree School; I would consider it a privilege to serve the local community by being a governor at Elmtree School.
