Originally from Derbyshire, I have lived in Chesham for over 10 years. My partner is Miss Jelen who is currently working as an LSA at Elmtree and a son Oliver who will be moving into year 2 in September 2024.
I am a Chartered Mechanical Engineer (Studying at Coventry University) although I have been working in General Management, Sales and Marketing for my latter years in Engineering and then in IT and software. I am now semi-retired and contemplating part time roles.
I am a keen sportsman playing many sports during my life in particular rugby, cricket, golf and squash. I am also a certified scuba diver and RYA sailing skipper. I also play the trumpet.
I am the Governor lead on Pupil Premium and hope to help the school maximise positive outcomes derived from this funding.
My experience of education is primarily from the receiving end, but I hope to bring some different insights and observations which derive from a my experiences and perspectives. I am looking forward to contributing positively to the Governor team and really happy to be part of Elmtree School and the excellent work they do.
