Jamesina Sainsbury, Skills Governor

I live in Prestwood with my husband (Jon) and two boys, Logan, age 4 and Reuben, age 9 months. We moved to Buckinghamshire about 5 years ago from London but I am originally from Liverpool where my parents and grandparents still live.

I recently took a governor position because I believe that the role a school plays in nurturing and educating our children is critical to them leading fulfilled adult lives. I chose to govern at Elmtree because I felt closely aligned to the school's values and principles. In my brief time working with the school, I have already been incredibly impressed with it's focus on inclusivity and wellbeing.

My day job consists of talking to organisations about future ways of working. I work with their leaders to create strategies that will enable, and better prepare their people for the future.

The theme that connects my job, my role as governor and my personal life, is my passion for creating environments (behavioural + physical) that enable human flourishing, which I believe, is the route to a better world for everyone.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Elmtree in action.
