We hope you are safe and well and enjoying your time at home. As we can not be in school at the moment we have put together some ways to help you with your learning at home. We have some tasks for you to try throughout the week, please check the home learning grid to see what challenges you can try.
Our topic this term is, ‘Into the woods.’ We would like you to explore the outdoors, go for a walk, explore natural materials and enjoy the opportunities of being outside, when you can.
In Maths we will continue to work on numbers 1-20, number ordering, simple addition, subtraction, counting objects and learning to double numbers. We will also continue to work on naming shapes, both 2D and 3D, and talking about their characteristics.
In Literacy we will continue to practise our phonic sounds. Keep an eye on your Bug Club and have a go at learning the sounds on there. You will also find online reading books to have a go at. We will continue to practise writing simple sentences about stories, check the weekly grid to see more detailed activities to try for literacy.
You can take pictures of what you have been up to, or of the work you have done at home and email them to us at Blog@elmtree.bucks.sch.uk. Keep an eye out to see if they go onto the Elmtree blog! If you wish to contact us please email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are missing you all lots and can not wait to see you again.
