We are delighted with the way that the children have settled into school life. They have adopted new routines excellently and are engaging well in their daily learning. We will supporting the children with various independent routines such as handwashing, toileting and putting on coats.
This half-term our topic is ‘Magical Me!’ The children will be exploring themselves, painting self- portraits and talking about themselves, their families and their peers in a positive way. The children will think about their senses, their bodies and how these help them explore the world around them.
In Reception school reading books are changed weekly. Your child will be allocated a book change day which will be written in the front of their yellow Reading Record. Please try to read/share a book with your child every day and record the title of the book in their Reading Record. Please ensure that your child’s reading record and reading books are in their bag every day.
Our P.E. day is Friday. P.E. kits should be kept in school at all times. We will send them home over the school holidays. Long hair needs to be tied back. It would be helpful if the girls could have a pair of socks in their P.E. bag for the days they come into school wearing tights.
