I live in the Chilterns with my husband, 12-year-old son and two dogs. My early years were spent in Germany, later London, then studied in Scotland, before working in South Africa for seven years. We have now been in Amersham since 2006.
Educationally I have a degree in Behavioural Science, an MBA and project management certifications. Most of my working life has been spent in the automotive and construction industries as a project / programme manager or as a consultant.
Experience around teaching has been facilitating Forest School at nurseries, schools and in a private woodland setting for primary school aged children. Subsequently gaining qualified teacher status (QTS) from University College London, with science as a specialist area. Time spent in schools includes TA work to get some experience of schools and working as a trainee teacher, then as a teacher in different Buckinghamshire primary schools.
I feel involved in Chesham’s development and have worked on and supported the "Masterplan for Chesham" for several years. After being a parent of a child who’s gone through primary school education and then getting some first-hand school experience of local primary schools and nurseries I welcome the privilege of making a positive contribution to Elmtree Infant and Nursery School.
