Since moving to Chesham in December 2014, Elmtree has had a prominent role in my family's lives. My eldest son, Henry, started in the nursery a few weeks after our move and enjoyed 5 lovely terms there before joining the main school. He is excited to move into Year 2 this September. Hot on his heels, my twins, Lauren and Matthew, started in the nursery in January 2017 and now cannot wait to join their reception class in September.
I value the school's friendly, inclusive, and nurturing environment that has benefited my children. Elmtree has a wonderful sense of community, and becoming a Governor is my opportunity to give something back and help preserve the things that make Elmtree special.
I grew up in north-west England, completed my LL.B. in Law with American Law at the University of Nottingham (with a year spent at the University of Texas at Austin Law school) and then moved to London to study a post graduate diploma in legal practice. Following a period of training I qualified as a Solicitor and worked in the City of London specialising in corporate law. I am currently taking a break from the corporate world to focus on my children, but am excited to apply the skills and experience gained during my education, training, working life and as a parent to my role as a Governor.
