Reception – Miss Razzaque

Welcome to Miss Razzaque's Reception Class

Our Topic for the Spring term is ‘Wonderful Weather’.

This term in reception we are learning about ‘Wonderful Weather’. We will be writing our own weather reports, reading Kipper’s Rainy day, Kipper’s Windy Day and looking at non-fiction books. We will create our own Seasons book, using information from the internet, books and videos. We will be recognising numbers 11-20, using the weather to explore positional language and looking at more and less.

The children will be creating weather collages using different techniques, materials and colours. We have a brand new weather station outside, and we will create weather symbols, rain gauges, wind chimes and sun catchers. We will sing lots of lovely songs based around weather and explore lots of musical instruments to create storm sounds.

We will also be learning new skills in PE, to balance on a line and walk backwards and forwards and to stand still on line with a strong stance.
