My daughter left Elmtree in July 2017 and during that time I was an active member and Trustee of Elmtree Friends and Family PTA, a registered charity raising valuable funds for the school. I was initially the Treasurer for the first year and then Chairperson for a subsequent two years and I am also on the Schools of Chesham Carnival committee.
I have lived in Chesham since 2006 and love being part of such a wonderful town and community and we consider ourselves extremely fortunate our daughter attended Elmtree. As a parent and a member of the PTA, I was able to see the teachers and staff at Elmtree doing a fantastic job inspiring and educating my daughter and her friends. It was hard to say goodbye to Elmtree when she moved on to Thomas Harding school, so it only seemed natural to join the board of governors, of which I feel very honoured to be a part of.
Prior to becoming a mum I had a career in print production, spanning 20 years, initially working in the production department at several large commercial printers. I eventually moved onto print and project management working at some of the UKs top 10 fully integrated communication and creative agencies. Here I worked with a variety of clients including blue chip, retail, communication companies and charities managing marketing budgets of up to £10m. For 8 years, I specialised in direct marking print and project management for larger charities such as RSPCA and WaterAid.
